MOSCOW, RUSSIA / RankWire.AI / – In the period from January to July 2026, Russia’s exports excluding resources and energy exceeded $96 billion, marking an 8% increase compared to the same months in the previous year. First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov announced this year-on-year growth in the latest statement concerning Russian exports. The data excludes the country’s traditional raw-material and energy shipments. This seven-month total continues the upward trend seen during the first half of 2026. The figures are reported in U.S. dollars.

Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov highlighted that small and midsize enterprises contributed $15.9 billion to the seven-month export figure, accounting for approximately 17% of Russia’s non-resource, non-energy exports during this period. Currently, around 42,700 small and midsize companies are engaged in export activities. These SMEs also submitted 1,042 out of 1,341 applications for the 2026 Exporter of the Year awards, representing 76 regions across all eight federal districts of Russia.
Data from the first half of 2026 shows Russia’s industrial exports, excluding resources and energy, reached $58.8 billion from January through June, compared to $57.1 billion in the same period of 2025. This indicates a year-on-year growth of roughly 3% within the industrial export segment. The Industry and Trade Ministry identified several manufacturing sectors that achieved higher foreign sales, providing further detail on the sectors driving Russia’s non-resource export success during 2026.
Key sectors see notable growth in industrial shipments
Exports of chemical products rose by 5.3% during the first half compared to the same period in 2025. Mineral and chemical fertilizer shipments increased by 10.4% over the six months. Metallurgy and precious metals exports grew by 5%, while light industry experienced a significant 25% rise. Pharmaceuticals, perfumes, and cosmetics saw an 11% growth. These figures encompass industrial shipments within Russia’s non-resource, non-energy export category. All growth rates compare January through June 2026 with the same months last year.
Russia aims for a non-resource, non-energy export total of $155.25 billion in 2026, with industrial goods making up $116.95 billion of that target. During 2025, Russia recorded $163.7 billion in non-resource, non-energy exports, making the 2026 goal about 5% lower than the previous year’s total.
